Cassie Franklin won the title of Miss Burleson's Outstanding Teen 2007 on October 29, 2006. 

Cassie is a 16-year-old student attending Garland High School.  At Garland High she is involved in the International Baccalaureate (or the IB) program.  Cassie was vice-president of her freshman class and was a member of the Gold Jackets JV drill team.   This past year, as a sophomore she was a member of the select pop group, "Celebration", and also the top A Capella choir, and is looking forward to continuing in the coming school year.  She also is involved in the Performing Arts Endorsement Program.  She received a commended performance on the history portion of the TAKS test for 2007 and is involved in theatre and many other activities.  She plans on graduating in 2009 and attending a fashion design and merchandising university in New York.  She received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for her work on her platform and other volunteer activities.  She will also be competing for the title of Miss Texas' Outstanding Teen in Ft. Worth the first week of July.

She chose her platform Take A Stand: Standing Up Against Bullying, and has spent her year devoted to talking to kids throughout the Burleson community on how to deal with and recognize a bully.
